![]() ![]() L5R dual-stat books are selling well according to most store owners I talk to. I think the time is ripe for you guys and Burning Sands. and I expect Secrets of the Unicorn is going to drop even MORE clues about Burning Sands. Secrets of the Scorpion just made the craving worse. are there any cultures over there? Are they fighting it too?Įven if you guys just came out with a Rokugan-style hardback detailing everything, we'd love it. I want to know stuff like what is on the other side of the Shadowlands. You guys keep giving us these tantalizing little tidbits (the Ashalan, Yobanjin, etc.) about the world beyond Rokugan. the d20 fans) who REAAAALY want to see something about the Burning Sands in print. I mean, you guys are currently doing, what, 5 or 6 game lines now?Īnd again, there is another core group of us, (esp. seems like the old school L5R players are afraid it will dilute the setting (and take resources away working on L5R book), but since most of these are the same people that complain about the books being dual-stat (because you could undoubtably cram SOOO much more info in there, and please mind the sarcasm), I don't find alot of creedence with their arguments. but like I said, with 3 sourcebooks on it already, and with it being such a cool damn part of the campaign world, it was to be expected.Ĭan you at least tell us if there is at least SOME interest at AEG for doing Legend of the Burning Sands? I've noticed a big split in who wants it and who doesn't. Nice to hear about a Secrets of the Shadowlands. So what is the deal with this Bloodspeakers book? You guys are farming out the adventures now, or is this a whole sourcebook on Maho? Unlikely, but if they follow their pattern of clan splatbooks. A possiblity, Way of the Wolf was actually pretty interesting, but covered the subj in much more of a Rokugani culture "this is how ronin are REALLY perceived" kind of way. City books? Or a d20 conversion of "City of Lies"? ![]() Maybe a book of NPC's? I've never really liked them, with the exception of Planescape's "Uncaged: Faces of Sigil." I'd LOVE to see it, but sadly will probably have to wait for a really really good fan made campaign. I know the L5R crowd whines ALOT about how AEG shouldn't waste its time, and I've seen alot of elitist bickering over this one. If they do it, they'd have to spin it into its own game. Nemuranai were pretty well covered in Magic of Rokugan IMHO, so I don't think they'd need a whole sourcebook on it. What I REALLY want is Nezumi pre-history. I wouldn't mind a d20 book w/ lots of Nezumi feats, PrC's, etc. Secrets of Nezumi/Naga - The Naga are largely asleep now, but the Nezumi are still running strong. Way of the Monk - been alot of other d20 books on monks, but nothing strictly Rokugani. Prob similar to the Way of the Samurai, Ninja, etc. Shadowlands - I've loved their 3 Shadowlands books so far, so they'll almost definately be coming out with a d20 book on it. They've got releases for the rest of the clans, but here are my guesses: I'm wondering what's in the works outside of the Secrets of the Clans series. ![]()
